The Parkrose School District Board of Education elected Paul Tabron Jr. as its chair and Brenda Rivas as vice chair for the 2025–26 school year at an organizational meeting that opened at 6:02 p.m. A nomination for Paul Tabron Jr. drew a second and a voice vote; the acting chair called for those in favor to say “aye,” and the motion passed. For vice chair, the board considered nominations for Joash Bullock and Brenda Rivas; Bullock’s nomination failed for lack of a second, and the board approved Rivas by voice vote. Board members discussed support and mentorship for the incoming chair and vice chair during the transition. The acting chair turned the meeting over to the newly elected chair after the vote.
