The Parkrose School District Board of Education administered oaths of office to newly elected trustees and confirmed their term lengths at an organizational meeting that began at 6:02 p.m. The board’s acting chair administered the oath of office to Paul Tabron Jr., Joash Bullock, Adolfo Jimenez and Mariah Galaviz and welcomed them to their positions. Each new trustee repeated the oath to “support the Constitution of the United States, the constitution and the laws of the state of Oregon, and the policies of Parkrose School District,” and pledged to “faithfully and impartially discharge the responsibilities of the office.” The acting chair announced term lengths when available; Paul Tabron Jr. and Adolfo Jimenez were identified as four-year terms. The board noted that term lengths for other positions vary and, in at least one instance in discussion, a term length was not specified on the record. The board moved from the swearing-in to organizational business, including leadership elections and routine consent items.
