Palm Beach County ethics staff announces retirement of League of Cities director; commissioners offer thanks

Richard Radcliffe, executive director of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, will retire at the end of the month, the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics was told at its Aug. 7 meeting.
"Richard Radcliffe, the executive director of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, is retiring at the end of the month. So I'd like to take a moment to thank him, for his partnership and collaboration with the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics over the years," the commissions executive director said.
Several commissioners echoed that sentiment, saying they have known Radcliffe for many years and wishing him well. One commissioner recalled knowing Radcliffe since becoming mayor of Lake Worth in 1993 and described him as a longtime public servant. Another commissioner thanked John Rouse of Channel 20 for his work on the commissions recent ethics presentation.
There was no formal action related to the retirement announcement during the meeting; the comment was made as part of staff updates. The meeting otherwise proceeded through routine business, including approval of the July 10 minutes and consent items.
