Stallings said the Redpointe operators "agree in concept to the proposal that was made," and staff have engaged engineers to perform a right‑of‑way valuation. "That work is ongoing... as soon as we get that study or the number back, we'll be able to move forward with taking that proposal and finalizing it," Stallings said.
A council member asked whether the town had agreed to give the business credit toward the right‑of‑way cost even though the timing of a planned bike trail is uncertain; the manager said council had not formally agreed to any credit and that staff were negotiating per direction. Stallings also told the council the engineer's evaluation is costing about $3,700.
Council discussion emphasized that the proposal remains conceptual until the engineering valuation is complete and a formal council decision is taken.
