Mount Vernon police ask public for video after 82-year-old found injured on East Division

The department said the man was taken to the Scadabile Hospital emergency room and that investigators believe he was likely struck by a vehicle. Detectives have been canvassing the area and asked anyone who was driving in the area or who has video to contact the department.
A Mount Vernon Police Department spokesperson said, “We—re also asking anybody that may have video from the area to please send it to us at the QR code here.” The spokesperson added, “Whether you saw or even didn—t see anything, please get in touch with us.”
The department provided two contact options for people with information: the detectives— office at (360) 336-6271 during normal business hours, and the 24/7 nonemergency dispatch line at (360) 428-3211. The statement did not specify the month of the incident and gave no additional identifying information about a suspect or vehicle.
