Bellevue council approves three boundary adjustments with Kirkland to streamline transit and trail planning

The council adopted resolution 10534 to place the South Kirkland Park-and-Ride entirely in Kirkland, resolution 10535 to move a small segment of the Cross Kirkland Corridor into Kirkland, and resolution 10536 to bring a triangular intersection parcel into Bellevue’s municipal boundary.
Why it matters: the adjustments are aimed at reducing duplicative permitting and making maintenance and future development more efficient for regional transportation projects and trail improvements. The changes are also aligned with regional light‑rail planning and with both cities’ regional planning goals.
