Board approves one-day closure of Anderson Street for Christ Lake Church event

The Board of Public Works and Safety on Wednesday approved a one‑day street closure for Christ Lake Church’s friend‑day event on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Susan Fuller, who identified herself as a member of the church hospitality team, asked the board to close Anderson Street between North Port Street and Main from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 7 to keep event attendees safe while crossing between properties on both sides of the street. Fuller provided pictures of barricades and a map of the requested closure area.

The board moved, seconded and approved the single‑day closure by voice vote; no opposing votes were recorded. Staff noted the church will set up barricades and the closure request is for one day only.
