The Crown Point Plan Commission voted unanimously on June 24 to approve petition 25-31, a secondary plat that divides Lot 2 of the Feather Rock Professional Office Park at 700 West Burrell Drive into two lots.
Timothy Briggs, one of the property owners, told the commission he plans a 5,000-square-foot office building on the east parcel (Lot 2A) and will retain the west parcel (Lot 2B) for later development or sale. He said the two-parcel configuration would create a 1.78-acre Lot 2A and a 1.16-acre Lot 2B.
Planning department staff reported the subdivision had been reviewed previously in a workshop (April 28, 2025) and received primary plat approval on June 23, 2025; staff recommended approval of the secondary plat and said no letters of remonstrance or support had been received. A roll-call vote recorded all members present voting yes.
The approval is for the secondary plat only; the applicant must still obtain building and site-development permits and comply with engineering, utilities, fire, and other departmental requirements before construction begins.
