Committee members said the stone for the memorial was inspected in Connecticut and that photographs in the packet showed the finished product. “The engineer went down there to inspect it. They sent me pictures. It's absolutely beautiful,” a committee member said. The committee noted that one member’s name, Dwight, appears on the stone in the photos.
A motion to approve the certified invoice carried by voice vote and the payment will be processed consistent with the architect’s certification. The committee asked staff about delivery and installation logistics but recorded only the approval and certification in the meeting notes.
