At its Aug. 27, 2025 meeting, the Allegany County Board of Legislators approved a series of resolutions, agreements and budget actions that the board described as committee-approved routine business. Several items were voice-voted; many were adopted by roll call with unanimous or near-unanimous support.

- Approval of minutes and agenda and audits: The board approved the Aug. 13 meeting minutes (motion by Bissett; second Ricky), approved the Aug. 20 Committee of the Whole minutes (motion Fanton; second Hanchett), approved the meeting agenda (motion Bissett; second Fanton), and approved the audited bills and totals for various funds (motion Havey; second Hanchett). Most of these were adopted by voice vote or roll call as recorded.
Other business and correspondence noted on the board desk included a Sept. calendar (board moved one regular meeting to Sept. 11), correspondence that the Allegany County Telecommunications Development Corporation will close as of Aug. 31, 2025; a 2024 annual report from an organization listed as Nymir; County Treasurer Terry Ross filing Allegany County's 2024 report of financial condition with the New York State Comptroller; an invitation from IDA Executive Director Craig Clark to an Oct. 9 event at Solutions Hub in Wellsville; and a Cattaraugus Community Action request to the Affordable Housing Corporation for $300,000 to serve 12 homeownership units across a four-county area.
The board adjourned after brief items for the good of the order, including remarks remembering former county employee Linda Edwards and recognition of recent intercounty events and community activities.
