At the close of its Aug. 20 meeting the Ways and Means Committee voted to enter an attorney-client session and stated that no further public business would follow.
The committee chair asked for a motion to convene the attorney-client session; a member moved and another seconded and the motion was recorded. The chair said, "we're going into attorney client session, but there will be no more business after that and so that we will not come back live." The committee did not reopen public session after the motion.
No details of the attorney-client session subject matter were discussed in the public record.
