The Allegheny County Ways and Means Committee on July 16 voted to reappoint Joe Buttinger as real property tax director to a six-year term starting Oct. 1, 2025, and expiring Sept. 30, 2031.
Clerk of the board presented the reappointment nomination, saying Buttinger’s current term expires Sept. 30 and recommending a new six-year term. Committee member Temerco moved the reappointment and another committee member seconded. The committee chair called for a vote and the motion carried.
The action was presented as a routine reappointment; no questions were raised during the discussion and the committee issued a brief congratulatory remark about Buttinger’s service.
