Thirteenth Circuit reports July 2025 juvenile and adult probation caseloads; LaSalle juvenile remains in residential placement

The Thirteenth Circuit Probation Committee reviewed July 2025 juvenile and adult caseloads and fee collections at its Aug. 13 meeting and accepted the monthly department report. Committee members were told a juvenile from LaSalle County remains in residential placement; an expected release date is undetermined.
The monthly juvenile totals presented by staff showed LaSalle County with 106 active juvenile cases and 8 administrative cases; Bureau County with 21 active juvenile cases and 2 administrative cases; and Grundy County with 13 active juvenile cases and 1 administrative case. The circuit total for juvenile active caseloads was reported as 140, with 11 administrative juvenile cases and 151 juveniles on probation.
On adult cases and probation fees, staff reported the following July figures: LaSalle County ordered $5,700 in probation fees for July (ordered to date: $66,450); collected $1,266.87 in July (collected to date: $38,580.53). Bureau County reported $0 ordered in July (ordered to date: $12,600); collected $1,210 in July (collected to date: $7,284). Grundy County reported $9,825 ordered in July (ordered to date: $51,243); collected $17 in July (collected to date: $16,773.29).
Adult active caseloads were reported as: LaSalle 496 active (278 administrative); Bureau 111 active (42 administrative); Grundy 143 active (196 administrative). Committee members accepted the statistics as presented.
On the Aid and Dependent Children Fund for Bureau County, staff reported no payments in July and an account balance of $241,332.09. Regarding the LaSalle juvenile in residential placement, staff reported the youth is “doing well” in the most recent report but provided no release date.
Committee Chair called for a motion to accept the department report; members voted in favor and the motion carried.
The statistics were presented by staff member Susan, who concluded the report saying, “That is the monthly statistic report.”
