Detention Home Reports Small Population and Monthly Revenues; Committee Approves Bills

Detention home director Jake reported to the Law and Justice Committee on Aug. 26 that the facility had an average daily population of six and that the population was seven on the day of the meeting. He submitted bills totaling $13,584.93 plus $790.32 in prepaid items for a total of $14,375.25.

Jake listed income items for the month, including Child Board County payments of $1,500, Securus phone revenue of $105.87, state salary reimbursement of $81,301.78, interest income of $10,597.40 and a tax levy of $92,630, for total monthly income of $186,135.05. The committee voted to approve Jake’s report and to pay the detention home’s bills.
