The commission and staff confirmed that the license area must be posted and that required police details would be scheduled; organizers said the events are family-friendly, feature rotating local bands, and are intended to promote the larger Oktoberfest event in September.
Decision: the commission approved the six-date package in a single motion. Commissioners asked organizers to notify staff of any issues following the early events and to provide a brief status update at the Sept. 9 meeting after three dates have occurred.
