The committee then moved to approve the full city budget (2025'027) "as amended" with the $467,000 placed in council contingency; the committee also adopted a property tax rate reflected in the packet for council consideration. Roll-call votes were taken and the motions passed.
Looking ahead: the full City Council will conduct the formal public hearing and adopt the budget and tax rate at the June meeting. Committee members said they would forward their prioritized suggestions to council so elected officials have the committeeinput along with staff recommendations.
