Public works staff described a package of slurry seal for residential streets (about 28,000 square yards) and targeted grind‑and‑inlay paving (about 3,000 square yards) for arterial sections and heavily worn locations. Notable items include work on 360th between the prior paved segments and Highway 26, a rough section on Champion by the ARCO, and Miner Road between Proctor and Pioneer. The package also includes upgrades to signal vehicle detection at a Miner/26 intersection.
Why it matters: Maintaining pavement condition reduces long‑term reconstruction costs. Staff said the city has a goal to return the Pavement Management Index toward 80 and will consider additional paving later in the biennium if contingency funds allow.
