Fairview committee sets “space” theme, discusses vendors, beer garden and kids programming for 'Fairview on the Green'

The Fairview Community Events Committee confirmed a space theme for this year’s Fairview on the Green and spent the meeting discussing vendors, alcohol permitting, children’s programming and logistics for the street festival.

“Let’s do a space thing,” said a committee member, a suggestion the group embraced during the discussion about themes. The committee asked Annie Clark, the city’s program coordinator, and other volunteers to proceed with decorations and programming under that theme.

Members reported vocal vendor interest but said formal applications had not yet flooded in. “So far, we have not received any applications. But that happened last year too,” Clark said; later in the meeting another committee member estimated “probably about 12 vendors signed up,” including informational nonprofit tables and artisan booths.
