The board approved resolution R2025-077 to execute a preliminary engineering agreement with HR Green of Elmira, Illinois, for the Peace Road structures and road project (section 25-00287-00-WR) in the amount of $957,601.40. The board also approved resolution R2025-078 to retain Willa Pop & Associates of Dixon, Illinois, for replacement of various structures (section 25-00290-00-DR) in the amount of $698,895.
Both resolutions were moved, seconded and carried by roll-call vote. County staff described the work as preliminary engineering to prepare designs and specifications needed to advance replacement and reconstruction of county bridges and related roadwork; the agreements cover consultant services, engineering deliverables and associated project management.
Board members recorded their votes by roll call on each resolution; the clerk announced the motions carried. Staff will return to the board with contract execution details and future construction‑phase authorizations as project designs are completed and funding is scheduled.
