Grundy County approved a contract with Granicus to implement Legistar as the county’s meeting‑management and streaming platform, replacing IQM2 which the vendor is phasing out.
Clerk Olsen and IT staff told the board the county evaluated five products and found Legistar to be the closest functional replacement for IQM2 and the best option for maintaining agenda, minutes and video workflows. Granicus agreed to migrate historical IQM2 data at no additional charge; Clerk staff said the original migration price of $13,800 was waived.
The one‑time implementation and hardware costs total $37,910 and will be paid from the Clerk/Recorder stock‑storage account. The vendor provided a multi‑year subscription schedule beginning at $26,309 in the first year, with annual increases of roughly 3% thereafter. Staff estimated an implementation timeline of 25–30 weeks and said IQM2 support will remain in place until Legistar is fully implemented to avoid interruption of service.
The board approved the contract after the Finance Committee gave a positive recommendation. County staff said training and full data migration will be included in the vendor agreement.
