KANE COUNTY, Ill. — The County Board on Aug. 6 approved four separate contract actions for the county’s Building Management Department and related service areas.

Committee chair Caius introduced four separate resolutions: (1) a one-year extension for generator maintenance services with Midwest Power Industrial Corporation under bid #23-046 for up to $200,000 per year; (2) a contract extension with M & M Peters Construction, Inc. for county concrete services (up to $350,000 for the county and $250,000 for the Mill Creek special service area); (3) a contract award for flooring improvements at the Circuit Clerk’s office to R.C. Wegman in the amount of $194,036; and (4) authorization to purchase office furniture, furnishings, and services from Tayco Office Furnishings, Inc., under contract number 240301.

Caius explained the items were presented separately because each involved different vendors, budgets and funding sources; board members confirmed that the Mill Creek SSA would pay its share for the concrete services extension. The county conducted roll-call votes on each resolution; the motions passed and staff were directed to execute the agreements.

Ending: Building Management staff will proceed to finalize and execute the contract extensions and purchases consistent with authorized amounts and funding sources; staff confirmed the Mill Creek SSA will fund its portion of the concrete services extension.
