County to use leftover ARPA funds for next round of digitization, issues RFP

The county's recorder office told the finance committee it issued a request for proposals for document digitization and will use a partial ARPA award plus recorder-automation funds to pay for the work.
"There's 19,000 left in ARPA money for that microfilm conversion," Recorder office staff member Brienne said, and the RFP returned a bid for $56,320. Brienne said the office will use $19,000 of the ARPA allocation and the balance from recorder-automation funds to complete this round of digitization.
Brienne told the committee the original microphone conversion did not spend the entire quoted amount, leaving the leftover ARPA money for this project. She asked the committee to note the funding split and said she would proceed with contracting after final review.
No formal vote was taken; staff said they would proceed with the procurement process in accordance with county purchasing rules and return to the committee with updates if needed.
