A committee member said the next regional meeting is scheduled for Nov. 18 in Livingston County and that a special meeting may be required to select a provider before the Dec. 31 deadline.
The committee emphasized a tight timeline to preserve continuous transit service; staff said they will need to have a provider selected by Dec. 31 to avoid service gaps on Jan. 1. A regional program meeting tied to the effort is scheduled for Sept. 15; staff said the event may be held by Zoom.
No final contract decision was made at the committee meeting; staff reported they will proceed once IDOT clears the RFP publication.
