Committee files two presentations, asks for parking‑amnesty data and advances honorary Cat Williams street naming pending community review

The Healthy Neighborhoods Committee on April 4 formally filed two presentations and took procedural steps on other agenda items, including a request for more detailed data on past parking citation amnesty periods and a conditional placement of an honorary secondary street naming on next day’s council agenda.

Vice Mayor Aftab Kearney opened the meeting and said the committee would file the presentations from the Imperial Theater Mohawk Alliance and 7 Hills Neighborhood Houses; both items were filed without objection.

On a staff report about a parking citation amnesty period, Kearney said the briefing lacked historical analysis the committee wanted, specifically whether prior amnesty periods resulted in increased ticket compliance or net revenue. The vice mayor asked the administration to provide comparative data from past amnesty periods before the committee considers a motion to bring back a parking amnesty proposal.

On an honorary street‑naming request, Kearney explained that Stephon (Stefan) Pryor requested that Redding Road at Gholston Avenue receive the honorary secondary name "Cat Williams Way" to coincide with the performer’s upcoming Cincinnati appearance. Because the Avondale Community Council Executive Board still must weigh in, the committee agreed to place the item on the council agenda for possible passage if the Avondale board approves the naming at its meeting that evening; if the community board declines or takes no action, the city will hold the item from the agenda.

The meeting concluded with brief public comments and the committee adjourned.
