The Budget and Finance Committee advanced a donation ordinance that would accept $135,000 from the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, on behalf of the Cincinnati Bengals, to the Cincinnati Recreation Commission for outdoor facility renovations at Ryan Park.

Dr. Dudesch said the funds are earmarked for playground structures, equipment, materials and signage at the Ryan Park Complex. He noted the donation builds on an earlier contribution from the Marvin Lewis Foundation.

"It's a spectacular playground in Westwood," the chair said, thanking Marvin Lewis and the Bengals for the improvements. The committee placed item number 8 on for passage.

The donation will be deposited into the outdoor facilities renovation capital project account; no further conditions or a construction schedule were discussed at the committee meeting.
