Councilmembers praised the donation. "I wanna really thank the Reds Community Fund on this one. I mean, $850,000 in kind, that's huge," a councilmember said. Councilmember Albee added, "We've had a series of these over the past year, and it's been truly remarkable, to see so many of these popping up and being safe places for our kids especially as we enter the summertime." Councilmember Jeffries noted parallel work with the Bengals to equip youth football fields.
The committee placed the donation ordinance on for passage.
