A Cincinnati resident told council during the Citizens Forum that she received a demand from Parking and Transportation Compliance Inc., based in Hollywood, Florida, alleging her car had been parked for more than 24 hours in a private lot at 1420 Vine Street and demanding payment.
Lisonbee Sifry said she did not park there; rather, she said she briefly drove through the lot on two occasions to save time and that dashcam and app data helped her win an online dispute. She told council the lot was formerly a Kroger and said gentrification has changed its use to serve visitors and tourists.
Sifry asked the city to look into the company’s practices, calling the mailed demand an "obvious scam" that will affect residents who lack dashcam or app data to contest charges. She also urged council to publicly oppose the practice and to investigate how private operators deploy AI tools for enforcement.
Council did not take immediate action during the meeting; the complaint was presented during public comment and speakers asked staff to look into the matter.
