Service Director Blake told Vermillion City Council that construction work on the Sunnyside Road project will require a northbound closure beginning Wednesday the sixth and continuing for approximately 60 days. Blake said southbound traffic will be allowed through a traffic zone and that a detour will be in place to redirect northbound traffic.

Blake said the street work schedule is subject to change, but crews planned to begin work the Wednesday referenced at the meeting. The city asked residents to watch for updates from the service department and to follow posted detours while the work is underway.

No formal council action was taken; the announcement was part of the service director's report and intended to advise the public and council about upcoming traffic impacts.
