Vermillion City Council on a roll-call vote adopted Ordinance 2025-46, an amendment to the city
ppropriations and the 2025 certificate of estimated resources. The council president called for the motion, which was moved and seconded and carried.
The ordinance, described at third reading as an amendment to prior appropriations and to the city's certified resources for 2025, was accepted after council members said they had received the related paperwork in advance. Finance Director Amy Hendricks told council members the appropriation modifications had been distributed by email on July 31 and were available for review.
Council members voted on the motion by roll call; the president declared the motion carried. The ordinance will take effect per the cityharter and was recorded in the minutes for public inspection.
The council also advanced two other measures to further readings: a salary supplement ordinance for an employee identified as Anthony Valerius and a sidewalk-program resolution (Resolution 2025 R8), both scheduled for additional consideration at a later date. Those items were set for future readings, not final action at this meeting.
Minutes of the meeting record the motion, the roll call, and the president
eclaring the motion carried; the official ordinance text and vote record are available in the citylerkiles.
