The City Council opened a public hearing on Aug. 14 to consider vacating drainage and utility easements on Lots 1 and 2 in the Village at Founders Circle (the Central Village West site, previously referred to as the 866 site) and assigned a new address related to the proposed Pickle Hall development. Tim Benedetti, Community Development Director, told the council the easements shown in gray on the presentation conflict with a proposed plat and that a new plat will establish perimeter easements.
Benedetti asked the council to receive and record comments but to withhold final action until the next council meeting on Aug. 28, when staff planned to present the site plan and final plat at the owner's request. The council opened the public hearing, asked if anyone wished to speak, and recessed the matter to the Aug. 28 meeting for final action; no substantive public testimony was recorded during the Aug. 14 hearing.
No motions to vacate easements were made on Aug. 14. The council's action was procedural: the public hearing was opened and continued to the Aug. 28 meeting to allow the owner to present the site plan and final plat and for staff to bring the matter back for formal consideration.
