Apple Valley, Minn. — City staff announced the second annual Apple Valley Food Truck Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at Quarry Pointe Park, running from noon to 7 p.m., and that the city's fall cleanup will be Sept. 20. The City Council approved the city calendar during its Aug. 28 meeting.
Recreation and event staff said the food truck festival will be held at Quarry Pointe Park because Kelly Park is under construction, will feature music sponsored by the Apple Valley Arts Foundation and three bands during the day, and will include a lineup of food trucks. Staff encouraged residents to attend.
Council members asked about dates for the fall cleanup; staff confirmed Sept. 20 and said more details will be distributed in the coming weeks. The council approved the calendar of events by motion; Clerk Christina called the roll and all members voted aye.
The council also set its next informal meeting for Thursday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. and its next regular meeting for Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
