Mayor Stehr told the council Monday that the town held a ribbon-cutting this week to officially reopen both the Turkey Foot pedestrian bridge and the historic Holiday Road Bridge. "The reopening of these bridges will once again connect the Turkey Foot Trail on the South End to 975 East to the North," Mayor Stehr said.
The mayor thanked councilors Sampson Burke and others for attending the ceremony. The town said the reopenings restore pedestrian connectivity along the Turkey Foot Trail; no funding, maintenance schedule or engineering details were presented in the council meeting remarks.
