Mayor Stehr introduced Brad Merriweather as Zionsville's new deputy director of the Department of Public Works on Monday, saying Merriweather brings 18 years of experience and most recently served as DPW director in Beech Grove. The mayor said Merriweather's appointment was made under the town's current budget and that he will assist with the DPW's transition to a facility near Trailside Elementary School. The mayor invited councilors to stay after the meeting so they could meet Merriweather in person. No council vote or confirmation was recorded at the meeting.
