The Garfield Heights City School District Board of Education on Aug. 18 moved to amend an agenda personnel item and rescind the district position listed as auxiliary director.

Board member Ms. Thomas made the motion “to amend item 14.1 to rescind the position of auxiliary director,” and Ms. Morrison seconded. After brief clarification about the exact job title and a discussion to confirm the wording, the board took a roll call vote. Ms. Thomas, Ms. Morrison, Mrs. Daniels and Dr. King voted yes; the motion passed.

During discussion members noted a typographical error in the staffing list. Ms. Morrison pointed out the weightlifting fall coach should be listed as “Cody” not “Coy,” and the board agreed to correct the spelling in the official minutes.
