First reading set for weights-and-measures ordinance; petroleum pump fee to rise from $30 to $40

City Clerk Barbara Nowak said the consortium’s daily rates remain the same but that the consortium requested an increase in the petroleum pump fee from $30 to $40 per pump.
Why it matters: The ordinance change will update fee language in the municipal code to reflect the consortium’s billing practice and the higher petroleum pump fee; this is a first reading only and no adoption occurred at Tuesday’s meeting.
Nowak told the council the city contracted with the City of Appleton for 25 days of service at $625 per day and that the only change proposed in the ordinance is raising the petroleum pump fee from $30 to $40 across the consortium. The item was presented as a first reading; the council will consider final action at a subsequent meeting.
