Kyle Cordell was sworn in as city manager of Two Rivers during the council meeting. Cordell, introduced by interim staff, told the council and public he is honored to take the role and said he will prioritize ethics, transparency and community engagement as he settles into the position.
Cordell said he recently arrived in town with his family and is spending his first weeks meeting community members and staff. He described his background as 12 years with the village of Lake Zurich, Illinois, where he served in director-level roles, and said he holds a master’s degree in public administration. Cordell told the council, “My door is open,” and asked residents to contact him directly with questions and ideas.
Council members and staff welcomed Cordell; the meeting packet noted his formal start and that his official oath was administered during the session. City staff said Cordell will soon be taking part in council listening sessions and other community events as part of his transition.
