Council tables Palo Alto Prisma cloud-security purchase, may take item to executive session

An agenda item to authorize the city manager to execute a purchase of Palo Alto Prisma cloud-security software with CDWG was tabled at the council’s request. The mover said the item relates to security and indicated the council may consider the matter in executive session if it qualifies. “I moved to table agenda item number 3,” a council member said at the meeting. Another council member indicated they planned to bring the item back at the next agenda and that it might be placed in executive session for further discussion. The motion to table was seconded and approved by voice vote with no recorded dissent. Staff did not present the purchase details during the public session. The item will return at a later meeting, possibly in executive session if legal criteria are met.
