The board approved two requests from Sheriff Wayne Davis totaling $25,223 from state asset forfeiture funds: $13,223 to buy newly designed uniform patches and $12,000 to support sheriff's-office community events. "The department is in the process of transitioning to new uniforms," presenter Mister Powell said, explaining why the patch purchase was requested.
