Resident raises police‑conduct complaint, school rodent concerns and agenda posting error during public comment

During public comment at the Sept. 2 Riverview City Council meeting, resident Ed Moss of 18207 Valeade addressed multiple concerns including an intended complaint about police conduct, rodent issues in local schools and an error on the city website's agenda link. Moss said he would summarize complaints he planned to file alleging ‘‘2 counts of unprofessional behavior, 2 counts of rudeness, and 1 count of failure to protect’’ against a police lieutenant and that he would leave documentation with Clerk Suhaiila after the meeting. He said the officer was acting in a lieutenant capacity when the alleged conduct occurred. Moss also said he had received a letter about rodents and had informed the school board to be diligent, especially at Riverview High School. He asked the mayor for information about the rodent situation and said he would raise the topic again at the Sept. 15 meeting. Moss additionally told the council he noticed the agenda posted on the city website was linked with the wrong date, showing a link labeled Sept. 9 for the Sept. 2 meeting; Mayor Swift responded that the clerk would fix the error. Council did not take formal action on Moss's comments during the meeting; he indicated he would file formal complaints with city staff after the session.
