The Riverview City Council on Aug. 4 appointed Timothy Larson to fill an unexpired one‑year term on the city Planning Commission that is scheduled to expire July 31, 2026.

The appointment followed the resignation of Antonio Bittner from the Planning Commission and an application by Timothy Larson to fill the vacancy. Councilmember O'Neil moved to appoint Larson; Councilmember Robins seconded. The motion passed on a roll-call vote with members present voting yes: Councilmember O'Neil, Councilmember Pray, Councilmember Robins, Mayor Pro Tem Webb, Councilmember Workman and Councilmember Ganaga.

The Planning Commission now has eight of nine members filled before the appointment; the newly appointed term fills the remainder of the one‑year seat through July 31, 2026.
