The Riverview City Council on May 19 approved an extension of the 2025 Street Sectioning Program contract with Savone Cement Incorporated to perform concrete replacement at the Department of Public Works site and authorized related engineering services.
The council approved the base contract amount of $471,000.51, a 10 percent contingency of $47,150.64 for a total project authorization of $518,657.06, and engineering fees to perform field evaluation, contract administration, inspection and testing not to exceed $47,000. The motion was made by Council Member Robins and supported by Council Member O'Neil; the measure passed on a roll-call vote with Council Members O'Neil, Pray, Robins, Mayor Pro Tem Webb and Gagnaga voting yes; Mayor Swift and Council Member Workman were excused.
Council documents indicated the authorization covers both construction and necessary engineering oversight; staff did not present separate objections or amendments during the meeting. The purchase and contingency are funded from the capital or street program budget lines as presented in the agenda packet.
