Mayor Anthony S. Giannattasio presented a proclamation at the Sept. 8 Board of Aldermen meeting declaring the day as Milford Little League Girls Softball 10U Team Day to honor the team’s 2025 state and New England championships.
Giannattasio congratulated the team, noting a reported season record of 13–1, total runs scored of 131 with 18 runs against, a team fielding percentage of 0.971, and that the team scored 50 runs while allowing five at the New England Regional Tournament. He singled out Chloe (last name not provided in the meeting record) for a reported batting average of 0.765 and pitcher Avery for 40.2 innings pitched with 98 strikeouts.
The mayor asked the team and coaches to accept proclamations in the chamber. He described the team’s performance as “championship spirit” and praised the manager, Andrew Trice, and assistant coaches Jeanette and Suzette Tierney and Mark Gregory.
