The board acted after Superintendent Hatzel summarized a request from Grounds and Maintenance Director Kennedy. The district had issued a request for proposals to abate the existing floor and to purchase and install a new playing surface, using Sourcewell cooperative pricing where applicable. The approved authorization included abatement, a new floor, line painting and logos, bleacher removal and reinstallation of existing wall padding, floor covers, and replacement of backboards, rims and hoist systems.
