Fraser City Council approved a contract to adopt CivicPlus agenda and meeting-management software, with the first-year cost listed at $16,450 and an annual renewal cost beginning at $11,500.
City staff told council the platform would replace the current agenda system, integrate meeting streaming on the city website (reducing reliance on external streaming platforms) and automate agenda-to-minute workflow to save staff time and provide unlimited cloud storage.
Staff said the system is familiar to several departments and could be fully rolled out in about six months. The first-year fee covers setup and integration costs; ongoing annual charges would begin at $11,500 for licensing and support.
Councilmember Shornack moved adoption; Councilmember O’Dell seconded. No members of the public spoke on the item and the council approved the purchase by voice vote.
Staff will work with CivicPlus on integration with the city calendar and video bookmarks to link meeting video to agenda items, and will bring training and implementation details to the council before launch.
