City staff said the work is part of an ongoing building maintenance schedule. The heat pump replacement bids total $76,714 and control units total $16,016.40; staff indicated the combined total had been budgeted across the city’s general fund and utility funds, with roughly 25% from the general fund and the remainder from electric, water and wastewater funds.
Council approved Resolution 2580 to award the work to the recommended contractors. Staff said additional wings will be scheduled for future years under the same multi-year maintenance plan.
