Frasier First Booster Club reports raffle success, seeks RFP inclusion for amphitheater rendering

Vania Epps, representing the Frasier First Booster Club, told the commission the group's raffle fundraiser at the Frasier Lions carnival drew strong support and three raffle winners. The club received donations from Frasier Myers and Frasier Star Lanes, Epps said, and she described outreach at the carnival as positive for the group's long-term parks proposal.

Epps described details of the fundraiser: raffle ticket sales were reasonable, three people won raffle baskets, and the raffle closed around 6:30 p.m. She invited residents to the group's next meetings — an executive meeting at 6 p.m. and a general meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the Hanover Grove Community Building — and said the club will set up a table at the firefighters' open house on Oct. 5.

The club also reported continued positive public response to McKinley Barrier Free Park, including a social media post describing a visitor's experience and steady activity over Labor Day weekend. Epps said the booster club is "pushing on" to advance its plans but is waiting to see the council's RFPs before knowing whether the rendering will appear in the project's first phase.

No formal action was taken by the commission on the booster club's requests during the meeting.
