The commission approved a one-day beer-and-wine permit for an outdoor block-party event tied to WWE Monday Night Raw on Sept. 15, 2025. The event, organized by the Mass Convention Center Authority, is planned for the plaza on Bruce Landon Way (the Landing) and was described as a Fan Fest and merchandise area with a contained beer-and-wine service area.
Christopher Hayes of the Mass Convention Center Authority said the event will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; attendees for the Fan Fest are expected to be 15 and older for the WWE programming, and the organizer told the commission that anyone over 21 will be ID-checked and issued a bracelet to distinguish lawful purchasers. The commission approved the permit and reminded organizers to follow public-safety, staging and alcohol-service rules outlined by the license commission and city staff.
The permit is limited to the one-day event and included the commission's standard operational expectations for ID checks and containment of the alcohol service area.
