Planning commission reviews updated residential buildable-lands inventory, staff to return with public hearing

Talent’s planning commission on Aug. 26 heard a presentation and demonstration of a refreshed residential buildable-lands inventory intended to meet Oregon’s land-use requirements and to feed the city’s next housing capacity work. Consultant Matt Brinkley of Green Top Planning told the commission the inventory implements Statewide Planning Goal 10 and related administrative rules and maps where residential land is vacant, partially vacant, developed or constrained. "This is actually the very first section out of statewide planning goal 10, and that is the goal that relates to housing," Brinkley said.
