In response to a resident question, staff said trees near the water tower were removed over several years after damage sustained in the 2021 ice storms and because falling limbs were damaging the fence around the property. The trees were planted when the reservoir was built in the 1990s and were not newly planted.
City staff also said the new “Y Wednesday” series will address topics such as park shelters and other frequently asked questions; staff invited councilors to suggest topics and asked for participation from council members in recorded segments. No new budget items or formal policy changes were proposed at the meeting.
