The New York City Department of Finance told the Queens borough board it will reopen applications for homeowner property-tax exemptions and is prepared to partner with borough and local elected offices to help residents apply.
A Department of Finance representative identified herself as Mikaela and said, “In the coming months, we'll be reopening our homeowner exemption applications.” She said the department is open to coordinating with local elected offices and borough staff on outreach pipelines and assistance for homeowners who could benefit from reduced property taxes.
